Take Positive Steps to Prevent Crime

The most broken-hearted people in America are parents, especially mothers, whose children are in prison.

When parents take the time to talk with their children about crime and the consequences of bad choices and allowing peer pressure to take them down the wrong road, their chance of ending up in the system is greatly reduced.  Don’t assume that your child will make the right choice just because he or she goes to church and appears to be doing all the right things. It’s a little different when they are with their friends.

We see many shocked and disappointed parents who never suspected that their child would steal a car or rob a 7-11 store.  They are in denial until the child finally confesses to the crime.  Don’t let it happen to you.  Peer pressure works on most kids, your child is no different. The time you spend talking with them about the consequences of bad choices may reduce the time you spend talking with them from behind bars and having them run your phone bill up with collect calls.

HOW YOU CAN HELP KEEP KIDS OUT OF PRISON?

Purchase good crime-prevention books for young people that you want to keep out of the judicial system. Don’t just give it to them, read and discuss it with them.  It will change your life and theirs.

Schedule a seminar for young people in your community, church or school.  If we don’t take steps to keep them out of prison, who will?
